Welcome to the EVE Scam Guide. This guide has been written with the intention of detailing scamming in EVE Online. While it would be impossible to cover the exact details of every scam, the guide aims to cover some of the most common scams. In addition to that, the guide covers the motivational factors, risks, perks, planning, and many other factors involved in scamming.
This guide is meant to be educational. It serves two purposes:
1. To teach anyone to scam
The guide details scams, showing just how simple most of them are. After reading this guide, anyone can log into EVE and start earning ISK from many of the methods shown here.
2. To help avoid being scammed
Coincidentally, the same information being provided to teach you how to scam can just as easily help you avoid being scammed. Even if you have no interest in pursuing these kinds of activities in game, the guide can show you what to watch out for.
The guide does not pretend to have every topic covered. It is currently a work in progress. If you feel something is missing or is inaccurate, please contact me.
At the time of writing, all information provided in this guide is legal. Obviously I have no way of knowing what CCP will change in the future, so use the advice in the guide at your own risk. I take no responsibility for your account being banned if you do something stupid.
This guide is provided free. It has been written by a single author. Inspiration for the guide comes from many places. I do not claim that all of the ideas in the guide are original. It is a collection of information and ideas, some of which are my own, many are not.
If you find this guide for sale from someone else, then they are a scammer and they have made great use of it.
Enjoy.
